The glass shade shattered and dropped from the ceiling all on its own. Fortunately, it happened while my children were asleep, but this poses a significant hazard in a kid's room. If a child had been beneath it, they might have been hurt badly. For safety concerns, I do not advise purchasing this light.

I’m really pleased with this vintage gold semi-flush mount ceiling light—it fits my room perfectly with its mid-century modern style. It’s subtle but attractive when noticed, and considering the price, it’s incredible. Finding a replacement would be tough. My only small issue is that I would prefer a fixture without an exposed bulb since I enjoy a softer, more diffused light. However, having an exposed bulb does make changing it simple. I’m still searching for the perfect bulb that offers enough illumination without being too harsh. I do like that it takes a standard bulb instead of an integrated LED. This fixture is well-built and fairly easy to install. Overall, I’m very happy with it!

This light was a huge improvement compared to our old 1988 hallway fixture. It emits a bright glow that seems enhanced by the frosted glass, making it noticeably better even when using the same bulb. The design feels completely modern. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the installation was trickier than expected, but we managed to get it installed successfully.

Although I haven't installed it yet, just unboxing it showed me how attractive it is. It matches the pictures perfectly. The glass has a nice medium to dark brown shade, and the black base complements it well. The instructions seem simple to follow, and it will be a great addition to my office space. The glass feels solid and durable, making it absolutely worth the price.
